1st Scientific training + 1st Complementary training – Budapest (Month 13)
+ Annual Meeting

 

 

Formally three science courses were announced in this training session whose content covered all the topics described in Annex I. The first complementary training was organized together with the first Scientific Training Workshop as a fourth course with content planned in Annex I:

- Surface forces, Friction and Scanning probe techniques, 2 ECTS
 

- Responsive soft matter, 2 ECTS
- Probing soft matter in the bulk and at interfaces, 3 ECTS
- Developing personal skills required in a multicultural research environment, 2 ECTS

All of these courses were registered in the program of the PhD School of Eotvos University and training course certificates were provided by ELTE for all participants. In addition to NanoS3 ESRs several non- ITN student have participated in the training from the partners.

 

2nd Scientific training – Aarhus (Month 17)

The second Scientific Training Workshop was organized at Aarhus University and its content covered all topics given in Annex I. AU provided a course certificate for the participants for passing the 5-day intense training workshop in: 

- Scattering Techniques and Surface Techniques, 2 ECTS.

2nd Complementary training – Budapest (Month 22) and MidTerm Review Meeting

The second complementary training is organized together with the midterm meeting. Its content is slightly reorganized. The motivation was that after providing a general training in dissemination and communication, the ESRs could indicate their further training needs in writing and presentation skills to be addressed in the third complementary training session.

The Ethics course scheduled for the second complementary training was also moved to the fall of 2014 and will be organized together with another ITN in the wider and more relevant topic of ‘Research Integrity’.
